Course Details:

  • Fully online and asynchronous

  • Mandatory for all first-year students at BITS Pilani (Campuses - Goa, Hyderabad, Pilani, Dubai)

    academic year 2025-26 onwards.

  • 1 credit split across two semesters (0.5 credit each semester) - year long

  • Total duration: 12 hours

  • Weekly modules with weekly deadlines

  • Each module takes approximately 30–90 minutes to complete


Module 1: Emotional & Social Intelligence

  • Life skills for campus well-being

  • Emotional expression & empathy

  • Self-awareness (Self talk) + Managing stress and transitions

  • Resilience, and conflict resolution

  • Healthy habits and personal grooming

  • Beginning conversations around mental health


Module 2: Relationships & Identity

  • High achievement stress; navigating parent, teacher, and peer dynamics

  • Gender and Sexuality

  • Breaking myths (masculinity, gender roles)

  • Understanding attraction, friendship, and love

  • Setting boundaries and learning to say “No”


Module 3: Sexual Misconduct and Consent, and the Recognition of Harm and Promotion of Safety

Module 4: Substance abuse

  • Types of substances and early warning signs of use

  • Peer pressure, assertiveness, and psychological/social triggers for substance abuse

  • Demystifying and deglamourizing drug use; awareness of drug trafficking

Dispelling addiction-related myths; introduction to rehabilitation and prevention; understanding
treatment, detoxification, and recovery; social roles in prevention and support


Students experience the weekly modules exactly as they will appear to you, except
that video controls (like skipping ahead) are disabled for them and the lessons unfold in a locked
sequence. They can only view each part after completeing the one before it.

Each week, Divita (the psychologist) prepares a document outlining the week’s content.
These are then brought to life by the designer and voice actors.
