Mandatory for all first-year students at BITS Pilani (Campuses - Goa, Hyderabad, Pilani, Dubai)
academic year 2025-26 onwards.
1 credit split across two semesters (0.5 credit each semester) - year long

Story
Module 4: Substance abuse
Types of substances and early warning signs of use
Peer pressure, assertiveness, and psychological/social triggers for substance abuse
Demystifying and deglamourizing drug use; awareness of drug trafficking
Dispelling addiction-related myths; introduction to rehabilitation and prevention; understanding
treatment, detoxification, and recovery; social roles in prevention and support
Students experience the weekly modules exactly as they will appear to you, except
that video controls (like skipping ahead) are disabled for them and the lessons unfold in a locked
sequence. They can only view each part after completeing the one before it.
