On New year's eve !!

21 years old

I was out with my friends at Baga Beach, excited to watch the fireworks—only for the night to turn into a nightmare. The place was crowded and a random man groped me. I turned around immediately; I wanted to punch him..... but, stopped as my thoughts turned questioning

“ There’s no favorable outcome possible, if I punch him, Right ? ”

I was in tears. I was shivering and was overwhelmed with emotions. He had completely grabbed me—it wasn’t just a slap or a brush. I’m sure it wasn’t his first time assaulting a woman. Even though I turned around immediately, I couldn’t identify who it was. Wish I could set that fucking asshole on fire. All I wanted was to go home and curl up in bed, but instead, I spent the rest of the night walking with my hands protecting my back. My male friends had to walk right behind me to protect my back. When I shared my experience with my friend, she told me the same thing had happened to her too.

Report: Went for an evening jog but realized the park is completely empty after 7 PM. No security guards, very few people. Feels isolated, especially near the far end.

Report: Underground parking area has dim lighting, and exits aren’t clearly marked. It’s easy to feel lost, especially if you’re parked far from the main entrance.

Report: Walked home late last night and realized this street is extremely dark with no streetlights. Hardly any people around. Felt uneasy the whole way. Safer to take an alternate route if you’re walking alone at night.

Report: If you're booking a cab, don’t wait at the mall entrance—it’s too chaotic. The side exit near XYZ Road is much safer and has security guards around."

Report: Walked through this market in the evening, and multiple men made inappropriate comments. Happens a lot when walking alone. Safer if in a group or avoid after dark.

Report: Went for an evening jog and noticed the area gets very empty after 7 PM. Saw some men loitering and felt unsafe. Better to go during the day when families are around.

Report: Went to enjoy the beach at night, but there were groups of drunk men making women uncomfortable. Got unwanted stares and a guy even tried to follow us. Left immediately.

Report: Left the office around 10 PM, and noticed a man loitering near the parking lot. A few colleagues have also reported similar incidents. Request security escorts if working late.

Report: Multiple reports of drinks being spiked here. A friend suddenly felt dizzy after one drink. NEVER leave your drink unattended, and always go with trusted friends.

Report: A man approached me saying my bag was open-when I checked, another guy tried to grab my phone. They target women who are alone. Stay alert and don’t engage.

Report: The crowd was overwhelming, making it impossible to move freely. A friend was groped in the chaos, and security did nothing when we reported it. Women in our group were constantly being approached
by random men, even after saying they weren’t interested. Overall atmosphere felt uncomfortable and unsafe.

Assaults of a lesser degree than rape we brush them off, and they go unreported. But with an application like this, we can say "Hey look 13 women were groped at this location last month. We NEED to do something about this - let's control the numbers, put more cops around, have them whack the shit out of anyone who gets caught doing wrong.
